HOW CAN I BUY A HAT?

Currently our hats are sold exclusively though this website, and each new release will be announced through Instagram and our newsletter. As each hat is one of a kind, they tend to sell quickly. It pays to set an alarm: slow fashion needs fast fingers! Please be aware that when a hat is in your cart it is not reserved for you until payment has been made. Hot tip - Apple Pay is the fastest way to clear checkout!

We are a micro business, working with hard to source vintage materials. As such, we don’t take reserves, preorders or custom orders, as this would change the logistics of the business and detract from the already limited making time. Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate our customers so much.

MY PAYMENT PROCESSED, BUT THEN THE HAT WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, HELP!

Unfortunately I have had the problem of multiple people checking out the same hat at the same second. If this happens to you, I am so sorry. Luckily Afterpay and the banks return your payment automatically without any intervention, it just might take a few days. Please email me if you have this problem and I will help in every way I can.

HOW MUCH ARE THE HATS?

Each hat is one-of-a-kind and priced individually. In general, my prices range from about $220-$1295 Australian dollars, depending on the following factors:

Design: some are more difficult to make and therefore take more time and skill.

Towel: factoring in the rareness, condition, difficulty in sourcing, price, size.

DO YOU MAKE HATS FOR MEN?

Absolutely! All my hats are unisex, but there are four styles that I think look especially great on men: Duke, Charlie, Scout and Frankie.

HOW ACCURATE ARE THE PHOTOS OF EACH HAT?

We take great care to correctly photograph each hat to accurately represent their colours and textures. However, perceptions may vary due to differences in screens.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Over the Christmas period Re/lax Remade is happy to welcome back returns. Normally we don’t accept returns for change of mind due to the nature of hand made goods and vintage fabrics. However, buying a unique gift for someone can be difficult and we understand that gifting isn’t an exact science, so we’re happy to receive returns during this time. There are a fewterms and conditions so check out our policy.

With the exception of the Christmas period all sales are final. Each Re/lax Remade hat is a unique piece of art, history and fashion in one. Due to the individuality of vintage materials, and the one-of-a-kind nature of our hats, we do not offer returns for change of mind. We endeavour to provide comprehensive imagery, size and style descriptions to ensure you know exactly what you are buying. Please read the sizing info carefully and make sure to measure your head before purchase to avoid disappointment. You can read more on our Refund and Return policy.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?

All hats are already made and ready to go when purchased. We will post within three business days of your purchase. We use a combination of Australia Post and the EMS network for international orders. Tracking will be sent when the item is on the way.

Unfortunately we don’t have the buying power to use international couriers, so international postage can take some weeks to arrive, depending on your country’s postal system and customs office.

HOW MUCH IS POSTAGE?

Within Australia, postage is $10 plus $2 per hat. Postage anywhere else in the world starts at $40 (Australian dollars) and is subject to the destination country and number of hats purchased.

To protect your newly purchased hat we package them in a protective box to ensure they aren't damaged through their commute. This form of shipment does attract a higher cost than flat packed items of the same weight.

DO YOU POST INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, we post worldwide! While I’m happy to post anywhere, we cannot guarantee how long it will take to reach you; this will depend on your country’s postal system and customs office.

DO YOU COLLECT INTERNATIONAL DUTY AND TAX?

No, unfortunately we don't offer this service. The additional fees demanded by Freight Forwarders to perform Tax and Duty payments on our customers' behalf are simply too high.

Instead, we save our customers upwards of $70 per hat by shipping with our preferred partner Australia Post and their International Shipping Service (aka EMS).

Should your purchase attract a Sales Tax and / or Duty then your Customs or Postal Service will contact you directly to pay.

If you do need help please contact us at hello@relaxremade.com.au and we'll do our best to support you. Though please keep in mind that we have no control over foreign Customs or Postal Services.

I'M COVERED BY A FREE-TRADE AGREEMENT, SO WHY ARE YOU COLLECTING GST / VAT / SALES TAX ?

Free-Trade Agreements (FTA) and VAT / GST / Sales Tax are independent economic levers driven by differing policy and potentially from different tiers of government for each individual country. In short, you may benefit from an FTA, but still have to pay a normal % towards VAT / GST / Sales Tax.

For VAT / GST / Sales Tax and the like visit each receiving countries Department of Trade and Commerce (or equivalent) for details.
