'Floral Racetrack' is a joyful, one-of-a-kind hat created in collaboration with Diana Rikasari, featuring a super soft vintage towel, and handmade crochet flowers adorned with secondhand beads.
Style: Scout, featuring a circular top and a short to mid-sized brim.
Size: Medium 55-58cm
Diana Rikasari is an upcycling trailblazer, author, fashion designer and all round legend. We decided that our new Re/lax Remade Rescue hats - which take otherwise age worn towels and resuscitate them into nostalgic bucket hats - were a perfect blank canvas for her colourful, dopamine-dripping world view.
Think vintage and secondhand Barbie accessories, beads from broken bracelets, gummy bear pins, ribbon rosettes, Y2K smileys, crochet flowers from vintage knee blankets, and patches from her kids' old clothing. These are Diana’s personal junk drawer trinkets, hand sewn by her onto Re/lax Remade Rescue hats, at her home studio in Switzerland.
Wearable art that’s sentimental and nostalgic, while being future minded about how we want our world to be.

Wow, what a hat! Over time, it will soften and take on character, moulding to your unique head shape and generally getting better with age. The edge of the brim will get shaggier with wear; if you’d like to give it a trim, use small, sharp scissors and take it slowly. Don’t pull on loose threads.
I suggest washing your hat as infrequently as possible. Spot cleaning and gentle hand washing are preferable. Afterwards, pop it back into shape quickly, air dry, and steam iron. I find balling up another towel inside the hat helps provide structure to steam around. The vintage materials used have lived a life already, so treat them with reverence. You may find some imperfections; these are not faults, rather chapters in a unique story.
Wear, rewear, repair, and take care.
Remember, loved clothes last.
