A one-of-a-kind hat, lovingly handmade in Sydney from a beautiful and rare vintage towel sourced in vibrant condition, featuring striking pattern placement, a multi-toned shag fringe, and a luxury hand feel.
Each Re/lax Remade hat is a uniquely numbered piece of art, history and fashion in one, featuring impeccable pattern placement and meticulous craftsmanship. There will never be another FREYA #30.
STYLE NOTES
The Freya features a deep sloping brim with extra shag around the edge. She comes into her own when the brim is flipped; either at the front, back, or all the way around.
FIT NOTES
Fits size M: 55-58cm. Please measure your head before purchasing to avoid disappointment. We suggest measuring at an angle from your forehead to the largest part of the back of your head. Please note that as each towel is unique - some thicker, some thinner, some denser, some fluffier - the exact measurements will differ slightly, and each hat will fit and feel unique. In general, the patchwork hats will fit slightly firmer than the single towel hats, because of the extra seams.
DETAILS
Top 100% cotton, lining 100% linen. The vintage materials used may show signs of their past life: this is not considered a fault, rather colour in their story.
RETURNS
Over the Christmas period Re/lax Remade is happy to welcome back returns. Normally we don’t accept returns for change of mind due to the nature of hand made goods and vintage fabrics. However, buying a unique gift for someone can be difficult and we understand that gifting isn’t an exact science, so we’re happy to receive returns during this time. There are a few terms and conditions so check out our policy.

Care guide
Wow, what a hat! Over time, it will soften and take on character, moulding to your unique head shape and generally getting better with age. The edge of the brim will get shaggier with wear; if you’d like to give it a trim, use small, sharp scissors and take it slowly. Don’t pull on loose threads.
I suggest washing your hat as infrequently as possible. Spot cleaning and gentle hand washing are preferable. Afterwards, pop it back into shape quickly, air dry, and steam iron. I find balling up another towel inside the hat helps provide structure to steam around. The vintage materials used have lived a life already, so treat them with reverence. You may find some imperfections; these are not faults, rather chapters in a unique story.
